Background
National Centre for Aquatic Animal Health (NCAAH), established on January 18th, 2000, while completing 25 years of its journey, the Centre dwells as companion of aquafarmers sharing their perils and ecstasies in the dynamic world of aquafarming. While moving forward with the motto “Relentless effort for the protection of health of aquatic animals and their environment” the Centre uses cutting-edge technologies for sustainable aquaculture, with a unique Aquaculture Health Products Division, Disease Diagnostic Services, Preventive Health Care and an Aquaculture Extension Cell linking farmers to the technologies.
On the occasion of Silver Jubilee Celebration the Centre is organizing this International Workshop on Aquaculture Medicine and Aquatic Animal Health Management in Asia-Pacific: Status, Constraints and the Way forward.
The workshop addresses status, challenges, and future course of action in aquaculture medicine and aquatic animal health management across Asia-Pacific. It brings together Researchers, Teachers, Technocrats and Industry Professionals and Policy Makers to look deep in to the aquatic animal health management scenario in the region to evolve innovative solutions to the most destabilizing component in fish production, diseases. The event will serve as a platform for knowledge exchange, establishment of collaboration, and in developing strategies in the advancement of aquaculture health management in Asia – Pacific.
