Font Sizes

  • Title: 72–100 pt. (visible from 2–3 meters).
  • Section Headings: 48–72 pt.
  • Body Text: 24–36 pt.
  • Captions: 18–24 pt.

Design Elements

  • Colour Scheme: Use a professional, consistent colour scheme with contrasting colours for readability.
  • White Space: Leave adequate margins and spacing between sections to avoid clutter.
  • Alignment: Ensure text and visuals are aligned for a clean and organized appearance.
  • Grid System: Use grids or columns to structure content (e.g., 2–4 columns depending on the orientation).

Visuals

  • Quality: Use high-resolution images (300 dpi) to avoid pixelation.
  • Graph/Chart Design
  • Label axes and include legends.
  • Use contrasting colours or patterns for clarity.
  • Consistency: Maintain uniform style for all visuals (e.g., font, colours, line thickness).

  • Instructed to maintain the NCAAH silver jubilee logo on the left of the title as given in the poster template. 
  • On the other side, the presenter can insert their institution logo.

Introduction:

  • Provide a concise background and the research objective.

Materials and Methods

  • Use diagrams, flowcharts, or tables for clarity. Avoid excessive text.

Results

  • Highlight key findings with graphs, charts, or images.
  • Use captions to explain visuals.

Conclusion

  • Summarize key takeaways and implications of the research.

References (optional):

  • Use small text for citations (e.g., 12–16 pt).

Acknowledgments (optional):

  • Briefly thank contributors or funding agencies

Technical Details:

  • File Format: Save as a PDF for higher resolution. Also maintain the original file with you accessible anytime during the workshop.
  • Software: Create the poster in tools like PowerPoint, Canva, Adobe Illustrator, etc. but should remember to use Portrait orientation with the dimensions of 800 x 1410 mm or (31.5×55.51 inches). Template in PPT is provided.

 

Presenters are required to submit the PDF of the poster before 8th January in the poster submission form that will be updated on the website soon (After December 31, 2024).
