      We are offering Post workshop training programmes for the participants from 20 to 25 January, 2025 at National Centre for Aquatic Animal Health, CUSAT Lakeside Campus, Kochi. Limited seats are available. Interested participants may apply for one of the programmes of their choice.

      1. Training on invertebrate cell culture – 5 days – Rs. 10000/-

      (10 seats only)

      NCAAH has unique expertise in the development of aquatic invertebrate cell cultures. The PmLyO-Sf9, the world’s first crustacean-derived cell line, is the outcome of 25 years of consistent research in the domain.

      This hands-on training offers

      a. Shrimp cell culture media (SCCM) preparation
      b. Handling PmLyO-Sf9 cell line
      c. Preparation of cell line for experiments

      d. Demonstration of primary cell culture development

      2. Training on disease diagnosis in Aquaculture | 5 days – Rs. 10000/-  (10 seats only)

      NCAAH has been offering disease diagnosis services to farmers through the Aquaculture Extension Cell (AEC) from the initiation of the centre.

      The hands-on training offers

      a. Assessment of environmental quality
      b. Clinical signs, internal and external gross pathology
      c. Detection of bacterial, fungal, viral pathogens, and protozoan-metazoan parasites

      d. Diagnosis of diseases

      Requirements

      1. A new or dry cleaned lab coat (mandatory)

      2. A laptop is recommended.
