      While we strongly encourage physical participation for the AQUAMAP25 workshop, we’ve decided to offer an online mode due to numerous requests for online participation.

      Online Participants can register using this application form. However, they are NOT PERMITTED for Abstract Submission/ Poster presentation. The link to the online platform will be shared on 13-01-2025. Online Certificate shall be issued for the online participants.

      Focal Themes Abstract Guidelines Abstract Template

      We are offering Post workshop training programmes for the participants from 20 to 24 January, 2025 at National Centre for Aquatic Animal Health, CUSAT Lakeside Campus, Kochi. Limited seats are available. Interested participants may apply for one of the programmes of their choice.

      Abstract Submissions Closed. 

      1. Training on invertebrate cell culture – 5 days –

      Rs. 7000/- for students

      Rs. 10000/- for others

      NCAAH has unique expertise in the development of aquatic invertebrate cell cultures. The PmLyO-Sf9, the world’s first crustacean-derived cell line, is the outcome of 25 years of consistent research in the domain.

      This hands-on training offers

      a. Shrimp cell culture media (SCCM) preparation
      b. Handling PmLyO-Sf9 cell line
      c. Preparation of cell line for experiments

      d. Demonstration of primary cell culture development

      2. Training on disease diagnosis in Aquaculture | 5 days –

      Rs. 7000/- for students

      Rs. 10000/- for others

      USD 250/- for International partcipants

      NCAAH has been offering disease diagnosis services to farmers through the Aquaculture Extension Cell (AEC) from the initiation of the centre.

      The hands-on training offers

      a. Assessment of environmental quality
      b. Clinical signs, internal and external gross pathology
      c. Detection of bacterial, fungal, viral pathogens, and protozoan-metazoan parasites

      d. Diagnosis of diseases

      Requirements

      1. A new or dry cleaned lab coat (mandatory)

      2. A laptop is recommended.

      NB: Limited to the Workshop participants only!.

          I hereby declare that the information provided is true and correct to the best of my knowledge. I understand that the travel grant will be awarded based on selection criteria established by the organizing committee, which will evaluate all requirements comprehensively. The committee's decision is final and cannot be contested. If selected, the amount will be reimbursed upon submission of bills, with the maximum reimbursement equivalent to the cost of a round-trip 3-Tier AC train travel within India. I confirm that I have read and understood all the guidelines.

          NOTICE

          Eligibility Criteria:

          • Only for Indian Nationals affiliated to Indian institutions
          • Open to Students/Research Scholars and Post-Doctoral Fellows actively engaged in research in aquaculture, aquatic animal health, or related fields.
          • Applicants must be below 35 as of the workshop date.
          • The applicant must submit an abstract to AQUAMAP25 and have it accepted.

          Grant Benefits:

          • Travel expenses will be reimbursed fully or partially up to the equivalent cost of maximum a roundtrip 3Tier AC train fare.

          Selection Criteria:

          • Travel grants will be awarded based on criteria determined by the workshop committee.
          • The decision made by the workshop secretariat is final and cannot be contested.

          Award Notification:

          • Only candidates meeting the criteria will be notified about their grant award.

          Grant Disbursement:

          • Selected candidates will receive reimbursement for travel expenses directly to their bank account.
          • To process the reimbursement, candidates must submit their travel tickets and bank account details at the travel desk, located at the workshop venue’s registration counter.

          Eligible participants can apply for the travel grants using the application form.
