Training program on Computational Biology and Bioinformatics
About the program:
With the inevitable demand for Computational Biology and Bioinformatics services in life science research, DBT-Bioinformatics Centre at NCAAH is organizing hands on training programs on Bioinformatics and Computational Biology for the candidates at graduate level (7 days), postgraduate/PhD level (15 days) and postdoctoral/faculty levels (21 days) during March- April, 2025. The extract dates of training in will be intimated to the selected candidates.
Eligibility:
The objective of the training program is to give training on fundamentals of Computational Biology and Bioinformatics to students, researchers and academicians in life science to enable them to explore the tools and techniques in the area. Therefore only the interested candidates in basic or applied life science disciplines who haven’t learnt bioinformatics as their main stream are eligible to apply.
Selection of the candidates:
Selection of the candidates will be done by the committee based on the eligibility and the academic performance in life science discipline.
Topics Covered:
- Introduction to Computational Biology and Bioinformatics
- Databases and tools
- Sequence Alignment and Phylogenetics
- Molecular Docking
- Next Generation Sequencing
- Programming packages for Bioinformatics
There will not be any registration fee for attending the training program
